I had one that lived to be over 19 years old, and I had raised him from a kitten, that's a pretty amazing lifespan for a house cat. Even at that age, he still chased string and the laser pointer, he had play in him til the day he passed. Then I met my fiancee and moved in with them, they have a cat and we've become inseparable. I'd say he's more affectionate towards me than he is anyone else including my fiancee.
