Whether it's 2020, 1980, 1950, 1800, you name it, women have always wanted a tall man. That's just how it is.

Height has always mattered to women.
Well no shit.
They're the original size queens.

You find a woman who's not hung up on that immutable detail, you found one with substance worth keeping around. If you want to recognize a woman without that...just look for any dating profile where the men's height is in her top ten list. It's right up there in shallowness with guys who say they won't date any woman over 120lbs...

Finding the good ones is hard.
Recognizing the bad ones is easy, guys. Step it up...

This. I never understood why people are so hung up on not being able to date people with shallow perspectives. If height is more important to her than you being a decent person, why the fuck would you want her?

If you're charming enough or pay enough, you can still one night stand. They're not some impenetrable standards. Unless you got no game

People who pretend people (including themselves) aren't shallow are being ridiculous. You absolutely care about surface level details. Just because your standards may be lower or more flexible doesn't mean you would have sex with literally anyone if they had a nice personality. You aren't morally superior for having different standards than someone else. And personality is as much an immutable characteristic as height. Both are influenced by environment, but genetics is the primary cause of both.

Doesn't make anything right about it. I get the genetic disposition to go for the "strong", but in a day where we are being told not to judge a woman based on her outer appearance, but then they target something we never had control over it doesn't make sense. If I was born short; I can't fix that without painful surgery. If she is overweight she can change that; doesn't mean she has to, but saying men are shallow for something that's controllable but ignoring the bias on something out of our control is heinous.

What's the karma for those who let certain girls online turn them into bitter souls that lash out on women that have nothing to do with it?

I don't get how your karma system works. Cause it seems like it's just suppose to be set up so everyone is equally miserable. You'd think you'd take the high road to try to get good karma. If you take the low road, aren't you kind of just proving you don't deserve to be rewarded?

It's dependent on the time period. But there has never been a period in history where men were as likely to reproduce as women. Which just makes sense. I don't know why people expect humans to be exempt from nature.

People expect humans to be exempt from nature because society is thought of as substantive enough for that to be the case.

Society is a product of nature as well. Humans creating something doesn't make it unnatural. Many other animals have societies as well. You can certainly argue many cultures and religions try to inhibit some of our base instincts, but I find it surprising people think such a thing could eliminate them. If these factors were so powerful there would be no criminals or deviant behavior and we know that isn't the case, so why should sex be an exception and disregard all natural instincts?

Yeah, I'm outlining the justification for why things like institutional monogamy can be justified. I have to disagree when you say there is a baseline nature, because reproductive numbers seem to change with every major stage of human development. There is always a nature (better, a logic) of some kind but it seems to change with weather.

Yes... a degree of mutability in the male rates shows that the idea of society is self-sufficient enough from nature, or maybe just that human nature is more malleable. And the fact you're pointing to just makes me sad

Yeah I would say it is a moderating variable. It can increase or decrease what is naturally there but it cannot turn it off.
