Since Covid my normal pizza shop isn't doing delivery and only does curb side.

And so I looked at Dominos and Papa Johns and see that pizzas are so damn more expensive if you don't get a "special" or "Coupon" it's like the same pizza is 10 or 12 dollars with a coupon and freaking 20+ without. Who orders off of the main menu at these places?

larry's pizza dough was far better, they should ask for his recipe, ok?

The prices suck, but Domino's usually has an $8 deal on a large 3-topping pizza which, while not great, is better than what it might otherwise be.

Also I imagine most places are just doing curbside these days, between the safety concerns and reduced business. Personally, none of the places would deliver out to where I live so it's all kinda the same.

Considering that they don't tend to sell a lot of the other stuff, I have a hard time believing that claim.

Also, of course pizza places make money from pizzas. If you aren't making a small profit per menu item sold, your price point is wrong and you're destined to failure.

Mine still deliver. And to your door. Theyll set it down to do social distancing if you want. But you dont have to if you dont want to. Usually, I dont order off the menu, but I will sometimes. Like for specialty pizzas. Or for a discount. But I use the apps. Which gives me points I can use to get free stuff. Or a discount of certain things. I havent really seen a price hike for my stuff, though. It can be expensive. But thats mainly because of the delivery fee and tip, so...

I can get delivery from marco's through door dash, but the other pizza restaurants in town don't do direct delivery here, we're too far outside of their range. I believe they're all still delivering though.

pizza is the easiest food to mark up costs with
it costs about 4 dollars (even less with dominos and papas cheap asses) in product to make one pizza
also, yeah soda is another super big money maker

Actually, I think theres another reason. Chains most likely buy their ingredients in bulk. So, they could cost only a little to make each one...
