Arv gets version 1,9,5 ect but sometimes he sees stuff like v.88 and v1.21 how does that stuff get decided

Up to the company I guess. Some of the versions numbers we have at work is rediculous. For some new software I'm developing, I stated the first release as V0.0.1.

Reminds me of Nvidia's naming scheme. What confuses me the most is when an older GPU gets some upgrade so now a GPU with lower model number and some suffix is actually better compared to another GPU with higher model number. Like saying 1100X > 1200 > 1100.
