The only reason why people think he doesn't is because of what Mitch did to Obama in 2016. But it was wrong then, and it's wrong now. It's fair to call the republicans who did that in 2016 and want to appoint a judge now hypocrits, but Romney didn't even hold an office in 2016 when the last one happened. Also, there's the obvious 'Romney is a conservative' so he wants a conservative judge.
