Graham said "It's pretty obvious that if Democrats want an outcome, they'll just destroy anybody's life to keep the seats open. They said they tried to destroy Brett Kavanaugh so they could fill the seat,they were dumb enough tos ay that I've seen this movie before, it's not going to work. We've got the votes to confirm and we can vote before the election. Now, that's the constitutional process" Graham himself said in 2016 to use his words AGAINST him if he ever voted to confirm a supreme court even if the president was a republican that was right before an election after not having a hearing on Merrick Garland. Iowa Senator, Chuck Grassley and Senator Corey Gardner confirmed they will back a hearing though not necessarily vote to confirm. It was thought Grassley could block the nomination process because he opposed filling vacancies in an election year. Gardner is also facing a tough re-election and some thought he could side with Democrats to boost his standing among moderates. The nomination comes 6 weeks before an election and the Republicans now have 50 votes. All eyes could be on Mitt Romney who is on the ire of Trump's side and if he sides with 2 senators opposed it, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, he could be the spoiler if the vote happens AFTER the election as Mark Kelly from Arizona could boot Martha McSally out and be filled immediately. Nancy Pelosi is also not ruling out IMPEACHING the president to halt the process as Democrats are pulling out the stops As of right now, Amy Coney Barrett will be Trump's choice although he will be meeting Barbara Lagoa this week but so far, Barrett is the one who will face the Senate. They need 2/3 of Senate to impeach a justice.
