I've looked in to it extensively and if you're not rich then it's extremely difficult to. This is by design, Canada and western/northern Europeans don't want Americans moving there shitting up the place, and with how most people in this country are, I can't blame them one bit

Expensive lol It's only around $615 US dollars for all the fees to become a permanent citizen in Canada. That's cheaper than a months rent at most places.

the people who say that, usually aren't very aware of the realities of moving to other countries. they tend to be the type of people who have never even traveled outside the US in their lives.

Why is this topic about other countries not wanting Americans ruining their lands or "shitting up the place"? Seems biased af, if not xenophobic.

Seems to me that the primary way to move to another country is to get a job there and .go through with getting citizenship eventually if that's what you're interested in.

Having lived in both the US and Germany, I prefer the US by far. There are no other countries I have visited which would be similar to the US for me. I think to a certain extent this mindset exists because there is nowhere else to go in the world to have a similar experience to the US. There are many other countries which are similar to the experience many people are looking to achieve.

Today, nearly 15 years later, I have an education, own my own home, own a company, have a wife, children, and own two luxury cars. God bless America for being a land of opportunity. I love this country and won't feel bad for saying so. I couldnt have done this if I grew up anywhere else.

The healthcare system is criminal. This nation has gone far in the wrong direction and I don't see it improving. I bought a house here because at the time things weren't nearly this bad.

Canada has a humane healthcare system, reasonably competent leadership, weather is better, people are seemingly smarter, and weed is legal. It has a lot going for it.

The weather is only better in a few select locations. The rest of it is basically a frozen tundra for 6 months out of the year.

It's not easy, but neither is living in a country you detest and are miserable in either. And saying that moving 'ain't easy', or is 'to hard' are just excuses. People from far more disadvantaged countries, and circumstances still manage to do so regularly so as a Amercian, what's your excuse?

The vast majority of such people likely have no useful knowledge, skills, talent, or achievements to name, and only speak English. But obviously its America, its system, and people who are holding them back.
