Last time I played was about 5 years ago so technically this is almost a semi blind playthrough because I`ve forgotten everything about it.

I`m probably going to go a sorcerer playthrough.

Fuck me sideways i wish i never started with a sorcerer.
3 strength and 6 dex and joined the covenant of champions or some shit so everything kills me in one hit and my adp is still low.
Need to git gud or go back to playing Dark souls 1

Funny coincidence I've been playing an INT character too. Recommend getting enough STR/Dex for the Mace, you can find one that's already Magic infused. Only weapon you ever need.

You definitely start off really weak compared to a regular melee dude but once you get a bit into the game you start getting really strong.

I think I'd rank the Soulsbourne games like...

Bloodborne > Dark Souls > Sekiro > Dark Souls III > Dark Souls II

Haven't played Demon's Souls.

Dark Souls 2 has weird animations, disconnected level design, douchey and cheap enemy placement, stupid mechanics. I like it but you can really tell there's a drop in quality from the other games.

Maybe I'll try the mace. I was planning on doing a full caster build and pumping most of my points into INT, ADP for Iframes and Atunement

I've also started a new character in DS2 a couple days ago after recently going back to Bloodborne and beating it all over again

I'm at Lost Bastille and I dunno if I'm going to continue tbh, I dont feel like I'm having fun

The game feels clunky and a lot of enemies have stupid moves, like the Heide Knights have a move they do when you're behind them that is a wide swing that comes out instantly with no time to react

I like to dodge and play fast and getting hit at the end of rolls sucks ass

The problem with alot of enemies is they move with no weight and moves just aren't that well telegraphed. Like you can tell in the other games when something is winding up for a massive attack and will do big damage but in Dark souls II everything glides with no weight

Also, I completely forgot that for whatever reason, this is the only Souls game where quitting out doesn't reset enemy positions

I learned that while running to Pursuer after getting annoyed that I got hit by magic hitboxes that appeared on the spears of two undead enemies as I ran by before they even started their attack animations

Fuck I give up. Moving onto Dark Souls III.

I`ve come to the harsh conclusion that Dark Souls II is a steaming pile of shit and shouldn`t be played. Fucking garbage. Bad enemy design, bad animations, pointless mechanics, douchey level design. These people obviously had no idea how to make a good souls game.
