Like, it just seemed like a silly commentary on Twitch to me. A lot of girls are coming out saying it's traumatizing and tone-deaf, but how is this different than any other game depicting horrible acts? I don't get it.

The other FMV games from this developer all have horror and murder mystery elements, so it wouldn't surprise me if this one does too.

I don't see how it's tone-deaf tbh. I think it actually shows how something like twitch chat can have a real effect on real people.

Me and my cousin just played through Erica last night. Pretty boring, I was falling asleep at the end. But the actors were surprisingly good for the most part. I feel like this one would be more interesting, since it's novel or whatever. It has some relevancy in the world. Yet it's also a part of the world I know very little about.

I want to buy it, but who knows if it'll come out based on this reaction. The Super Seducer games are still on Steam so hopefully it'll be alright. But this tends to happen when niche games go mainstream. People would lose their minds if they knew about all the adult indie games that come out on PC, lol.

I hope there are going to be store tags listing it as a simpulation game.

i saw some tweets that the developer put out explaining their supposed aim with it, and it all just seemed really tone-deaf and lacking self awareness. they claim it's something that is meant to bring awareness to cyber bullying and stalking, and the more dire situations that can arise from that, but the incredibly cheesey trailer made it seem more like a self-insert savior fantasy for simps. you literally play as a mod for this streamer girl who gets involved in her personal life and texts her and defends her from her crazy and jealous boyfriend and potentially violent situations with stalkers. that's just a very unrealistic dynamic to be portraying, especially when the likely target audience will eat it right up and it will only fuel their fetishization of streamers like this who they want to be the savior of.

Ah I can understand that, I guess I hadn't considered the actual target audience for a game like this. Yeah something like this would only enable those kinds of people.

Twitch thotts and their white knights are some of the most delicate flowers on the internet. It's hardly surprising that a game that is clearly mocking them would get backlash.

The funny thing is, I see people on both sides bitching about how the game is evil. Some people on the left say it's some sort of stalker simulator that will encourage people to rape/murder streamers and some people on the right say it's feminist propaganda meant to encourage simping. Ultimately, all of those people are idiots. It's just a stupid ass indie FMV game. Some people really need to not take entertainment so seriously.

Also the devs also stated this is meant to be a game empowering and nothing is more empowering than having the girl let some stranger decide all their actions.
