this isn't exclusive to online either. I know plenty of ppl like this irl too. It's ubiquitous. Some people think they're so goddamn funny that they always have to be "on" for their "crowd"

It's like Quips in Regular Show, if anyone's seen that episode

It's one of the most fucking annoying personalities I can think of

It also actually shows the person cares about their subjects. I'll take that over someone posting a troll statement and waiting for others to fight each other for them while having no real opinion themselves.

Theres also a big difference between the type of person TC is talking about and people with light hearted and easygoing personalities, who probably joke more than the average person

those people are normally a delight and actually know when its appropriate to turn it off

The thing with friends is stuff will be funnier just cause it's you doing it. There's the "haha, that's ------- for you!". It's like when you watch a show and the characters jokes kind of fall flat until you actually learn the character and realize how the statements are funny because of their personality.

Also physical elements. Like, Im scrawny, so if I say some tough guy hardboy shit, it comes off as way more funny than if someone who could actually muscle people said it. There's a Napoleon complex element to the joke.
