if you can finish it yourself or want to take it to go that's cool

but if you're just not gonna finish and let the server toss the rest out...wtf is wrong with you?

was eating with a bunch of friends a few months ago

girl i barely know ordered chicken strips and fries. she had 1.5 (out of 4) chicken strips and barely picked at the fries

server comes by and asks if she's done/wants a box...and tells him to just take it

i was so horrified

like...wtf is wrong with you that you don't offer that to the table?

if i knew you were going to do that, i'd ask but it seems greedy to ask when i don't know if you want it for yourself (either now or later)

and if i stop the server at that point to take it for myself, it makes me look all sort of bad

seriously, what is wrong with people, wasting perfectly good food like that?!

I was raised poor and taught to never waste food. I'm not poor any more, but I still hate wasting food
