It's already hard to immigrate to other first world countries unless you're skilled or rich, which I'm neither. Marriage applies too I think. But with our failure to acknowledge the virus, the world is rightfully closing us out.

Has anyone here moved out of America on their own? My brother wouldn't be down for leaving, and I doubt any of my friends would either. I've been saving money for a bit but I don't even know how much I should be aiming for. Or what countries would accept americans in a few years. Or even where to begin researching this stuff

So yeah, anyone have any experience with moving out of the US

You could try Mexico but I hear they're building a wall and making America pay for it

Hmm, I could have had swiss citizenship up until I turned 18.

I hear that one is real hard to get, but a nice place.

I am assuming you mean europe or maybe canada right?

The more distance between me and here, the better lol. I'd settle for canada but it wouldn't be my first choice. Also my only shot for canada is marrying in

Any college degree level marketable skills?

Most jobs either transfers or new hires will help you with visas etc that you can work on making permanent.

It's not impossible but expect a fuckload of red tape, and have something lined up before you go.

EDIT: I'd add a lot of countries have the US under travel bans at the moment so it could be quite some time before you can even go anywhere.

That's just how it is anywhere. No country wants to take on a public burden.

According to US Americans, the path is to stay in your own country and make it better, of course lol.

That's why the two major parties in the US hate eachother so much - they're both doing exactly that.
