Hollywood would have to do something else to mess it up.
Like, Samus is a biracial lesbian with a lengthy show-stealing subplot about her girlfriend back home. Or Metroids were created by religious fanatics to wipe out evolving lifeforms because evolution doesn't coincide with their teachings. Or maybe Mother Brain is literally Samus's mother who was mutated into a giant one-eyed brain creature.... by the religious fantatics who created the Metroids to prevent evolution. --- 2020 going to be a CE kind of year ~ Panthera ... I once dreamt I was watching a Metroid movie and I mostly just remember Samus beating the hell out of some space pirates. It seemed gratuitous, but it was awesome.
