Theyre just a moment in time. You can easily test negative and then get infected with COVID shortly afterwards. We really need to just be quarantining as much as possible, keeping distance from each other, and wearing our masks.

Not really a false sense of security... We really should be doing testing repeatedly somehow. It should be understood that if you test negative and then meet people, you have just renewed your risk of exposure. Even with that, we have tons of people refusing to quarantine, refusing to keep distance from each other, and refusing to wear masks.

So we're screwed

If you are suspicious enough that you feel the need to get tested for covid and then you go out while you are waiting for the test results then you are a dumb piece of shite.

The larger point though is that everyone should be quarantining regardless because you cant be sure when you have it

It's not 100% effective, but few things are. I'm sure tons of people have tested positive and been put in isolation, and people in contact with them have been notified
