My dumbass saw the recruiters in high school then went and, with no outside pressure from anyone or thing, went and signed up for the Army. Like they shouldn't really be targeting really young kids but by the time you're 16, you're within a year of joining with parents permission. If you're 17 you can join with parents permission or are close enough to being able to wait til 18 to sign for yourself. shrugs --- The name is wackyteen for a reason. And defending your country is one of the most honorable things someone can do. I've heard of many people with horrible experiences with their recruiters lying to get them in and pump up their numbers. I was lucky when I joined and wasnt lied to. The problems occur when they lie about the possibilities within the military, the culture, MOS, etc. That happened to me and many others and we bailed after realizing it was horse shit.
