Where someone says "people who complained about x are the same people saying that y", trying to point out their hypocrisy

when there is no base for saying they are the same group of people and thus the person is just saying that to complain and look like they are making a point?

ex: "people complained about (series) being the same game over and over then complained when it changed formula" where that is probably 2 different groups
