This Samsung Evo Plus 2TB NVME m.2 is so much faster than the (supposedly very fast) stock 500 GB SSD in my Razer Blade, it's like I bought a new computer or something. Games load in like less than half the time, if not even faster.
Not sure why, either, since they're both made by Samsung O_o --- Well allons-y, Alonso! ... Copied to Clipboard!

the M.2 connector supports 2 interfaces:
AHCI, which is legacy for HDD / SSD's using SATA connectors that can also work over M.2 & PCIe NVMe, which is modern for SSD's using only M.2 & PCIe --- Are you a MexiCAN or a MexiCAN'T - Johnny Depp 'Once Upon A Time in Mexico' ... Copied to Clipboard!

Not sure why, either, since they're both made by Samsung O_oIt's because of the interface differences. SATA based SSDs are bottlenecked by the SATA speeds. NVMe SSDs are PCIe-based and do not have said limitations, allowing them significantly faster speeds only limited by your motherboard IIRC. --- http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/3853476/ Neo Yokio is a masterpiece. - Popcorn_Fairy ... Pfft not really but YOLO rightYou've worked hard through med school. Paid off your School Tuition Debts incredibly fast compared to your peers. That's ALOT of hard work. That put you in this great financial position. I think you worked Plenty Hard for it, Harder then 99.9% of most students with huge tuition debt right out of college. You deserve to enjoy the "Best of the Best" things in life. You worked hard for it. But hey, that's just my PoV, do you think my observations and analysis were wrong? --- Are you a MexiCAN or a MexiCAN'T - Johnny Depp 'Once Upon A Time in Mexico' ... Copied to Clipboard!
