Me and a friend was having a discussion about toilet paper reuse and conservation and he reckons 1 TP roll lasts about 50 days. 50 DAYS!!

I don't know whether he doesn't wipe properly, if he was joking or if I'm actually just a fucking idiot who hasn't been toilet trained this entire time.

Reminder 1 roll. Not a like 12 pack. 1 single roll. I live in a household of 3 people and we go through like 1 every 2 days. What's going on here?

How many people is he sharing the roll with?

I don't think a roll lasts 50 days for me, but it sure as hell lasts longer than 6 days.

I'd assume either they poop at other places and hence dont use their own TP or they have a bidet and only use TP for drying

If he poops right before a shower he may not wipe, and instead go the "warm bidet" route that would cut down on usage. That's what I do in the morning; although I have been without TP a couple times in my life, so I learned how to manage without.

I buy the rolls with 1,000 sheets. If you can't get by on 20 sheets a day, that's your problem.

I haven't had to buy toilet paper since before the panic buy, and I've still got well over half my stock left.

Yeah I guess it depends on what size the roll is, cause some have more sheets than others for sure. I live alone and get about a month out of the kind I have.
