Kinda hard to compare what certain presidents did directly. I'd look at the overall, like his attacks on free speech, the detainment of immigrants, the deep corruption and shady characters, mishandling of the pandemic, etc.

If you count 9/11, the subsequent cancer that happened years later as a result of the debris, and every single American killed in the war on terror up to today 19 years later it's still less than the amount of Americans killed by COVID-19.

Maybe at first, but at this point its on the states and the people therein. No other way you can explain the vast dichotomies between whats going on in New york vs. Texas for instance.
Also, this response strangely discounts all of the foreigners killed by those pointless wars. I guess their lives don't matter eh? So humanitarian of you.

And on a personal level having a few beers with dubya might not be how i want to spend my time but interacting with trump for 5 minutes would probly end up with me in a us prison for 40 years or just runnung away and repeatedly smashing my head into the nearest hard object.

The hard part in some of these comparisons for me is that there's some dependence on other political actors.

Like the Iraq War is probably worse than anything Trump has done, but congress also passed that. Trump has received a lot of resistance/pushback to some of his worse policies. Does that make him a better president for being so bad that his party doesn't always back his worst impulses? Hard to say.

Like I think if the executive branch held absolute power, Trump would be worse than Bush.

In reality, progressive intellectuals complain endlessly about the very real ways that Trump has thrown a monkey wrench into their legacies, and to various globalist projects. Also, in the myriad ways that Trump has and will likely continue to be ineffective, the reasons for this are a lot more complex, than myopic explanations like his clown people arent smart, lol.

Bush's wars killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan, displaced millions, imposed unwanted neoliberal economic "reforms" on Iraq, lead to the rise of ISIS, destabilized the whole region, cost trillions of dollars that we set on fire and used to kill people instead of improving people's lives here or abroad, etc. And that's just one aspect of just foreign policy. Bush was worse for his cataclysmic impact on foreign policy alone. Trump is definitely giving him a run for his money domestically though.

TV and Mainstream corporate news make it sound like Trump is burning the world down at all times, so I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about.

Bush was able to turn bad situations into massive military budget increases, multiple perpetual foreign wars, and increase of government surveillance. Trump, outside of his SC justices definitely being a big win, has had an insane revolving door of an administration and how utterly disorganized and unequipped they are is on display more than ever this year with COVID. Their sole big win has been the supreme court justices which was something that was basically handed to them, and corporate tax cuts almost no one paid attention to (they never do). Beyond that they've been spinning their wheels cancelling random obama programs, failing to carry out things like the border wall and ACA repeal.

There's a reason shit like Qanon exists. People are trying to conjure explanations in their mind for how fucked up everything seems at the top and how their dreams aren't coming true
