Current Events > Terraria or Minecraft?

Been having an itch to play this sort of game. I already have Terraria which I bought like 5 years ago. I only played it for like 10 hours or so.

Should I stick with this or try out minecraft instead? Also whats the best price for minecraft anyways? Is it just the $30 starter pack thing off their main website?

It depends on what you want out of it.

Terraria is much more focused on combat and an RPG type progression system. Minecraft, mostly just by virtue of being 3D, is much better for building.

about 12 hours into terraria. and got some q's

• when do you start seeing more cooler weapons and gear?
• Is it the deeper down you dig the better stuff you find? or is it more you have to go horizonally to the different maps styles? then start digging down from there?
• Do the different zones give different type of loot?

It's been ages and ages since I've played, but I think it's a little of both. There are generally better materials deeper down, but the different biomes also have their own materials.
