Looks like it's got great reviews, but it's hard to trust mainstream reviewers these days. Anybody play it here? what did you think?

I'm missing that feeling of being lost in a new RPG.

great game, though some people may find it unwieldy. personally it was my GOTY for 2018. i did an entire second playthrough immediately after my first playthrough. i can count on one hand the games i've done with that.

Damn that's crazy. Only games I've ever done that for is the Elder Scrolls series.

It's good, especially if you're into the history of the period and the arms and armor, but you NEED to patch it or it's damn near unplayable. It's buggy and also janky

Also, plate armor trivializes the game

I really liked a lot of aspects but the woods are empty, god dammit that pissed me off. that being said certain parts of the game are outstanding and bode well for a sequel.

i like it. played it for a under 12hrs game time on the pc.

the 1st parts is immersive AF.

i stopped playing for subnautica back then though. been meaning to get back into it as one of the backlogs that has more priority than others.

the actions are battles. outwit. outplay. outlast kinda style. bandits strengths are in their numbers and you just learned to fight. oh there a plenty bandits...

I never finish these types of games, but I really enjoyed what I played. It's pretty grounded which was nice. Also it's nice to play an MC in a game like this with some kind of personality. Like you get to choose a lot of his actions, but Henry isn't just a blank slate.

Yeah there was basically no incentive to truly explore. It was all the same. Either nothing or a random bandit camp which honestly did nothing for you when you could encounter and loot them on the road

Also it is still glitchy especially console versions. Probably should have worked on fixing it instead of shitting out overpriced DLC

It was a fun game. The combat is a bit difficult and takes some time to get used to it but that's about the only complain I have.

Been playing it on and off since December and put in probably a few hundred hours on several playthroughs. It's quite a fun game, although it does lack some polish (pop-in while riding a horse is a common complaint) in areas. The best part about KCD is that when you become powerful, you feel like you earned it, since Henry starts off as a friggin' moron with zero proficiency at anything, other than drinking booze.

It's definitely better than its Metacritic suggests, at any rate. It's not an AAA title or anything, but it has a lot of fun characters and a decent (for medieval Bohemia) plot, plus some decent DLC. The difficulty can easily be subverted if you know what to do, though.
