I enjoyed 3rd rock more, it was more fun.

Fraiser wasn't bad, but took itself too seriously sometimes.

Frasiers awful. I thought it was a meme to say that show was good.

3rd Rock From the Sun.

it was absurd, chaotic, hilarious madness.

and Dick Solomon is underrated as a sitcom dad.

Frasier is the best show ever in existence. Nothing beats the hilarious writing. The show never took itself serious. That was the best part about it. They were basically making fun of their own ridiculousness.

My favorite episodes are Ham Radio, The Unkindest Cut of All, The Matchmaker, The Doctor is Out, Out With Dad, and The Ski Lodge. Pretty much any episode where one of the Crane men is mistaken for gay is hilarious.

Yeah, the people who thought it was too serious are too dumb to realize that that was the joke.

I like the episode where Frasier pretends to be jewish and his dad just hams it up while Niles dressed as Jesus walks around in the background until his brother notices him.

Omg and then when they try to fight like the Jewish mom and daughter did but they couldn't handle the emotions and didn't know how to wrap up the fight. That was pure genius writing.

Having never seen 3rd Rock...

Frasier. Definitely Frasier. Top-tier sitcom right there.

3rd Rock because its more unique. Its the only fish-out-of-water sitcom I know (besides TBBT, and fuck TBBT) where all the main characters are fish-out-of-water and it goes a step beyond even that by switching up the roles (the kid is the oldest of the crew, the girl is the militarized one, the captain is the most childish and the last of the main characters is a radio).

Also John Lithgow will never not be hilarious.

Frasier is a pretty straightforward prissy girly brother hangs out with normal guy brother and abrasive dad albeit with better acting and writing than most others. Also British accents.

The show never took itself serious.

there were some pretty serious episodes where they delve into real issues.

maybe the writers consulted actual psychiatrists for them. off the top of my head there's "frasier's edge" where he wins a lifetime achievement award but feels empty inside, and then the episode about martin having to go to the parole hearing of the guy who shot him, also one i really can't forget is where they dive into the history of niles and daphne and why he keeps putting her up on a pedestal etc.
