Found it on the Playstation Store along with the sequel, decided to play them for nostalgia's sake.

Just wondering now whether to move onto Dark Chronicle or beat the Demon Shaft dungeon first.

I never beat the post-game dungeon; game's not that interesting at that point. I suggest moving on to Dark Chronicle instead.

I like Dark Cloud better but im in the minority on that...music was way better and Toan couldnt be annoying because he was mute.

2 to the 1 from the 1 to the 3, a fitting end for a monster like me.

i got all the way up to the final dungeon and quit, because it required you to use a specific character in each different level of the dungeon, and i had really only leveled up the main character any significant amount at that point. i was pretty pissed that it was structured that way with no indication that it would be like that. bad game design imo.
You get Limited Zones all the time in the game though.

You really only need the one character for most of the game. The others almost entirely exist for those obstacles, and it was kind of annoying to switch to them every time just for that.

The bonus dungeon in the first game is really boring and unsatisfying. Just end the game at the credits.

Dark Chronicle is one of the best games ever made.

Nicely done. Took me quite a while to beat the Dark Genie on my first time.

I never played Dark Chronicle before, but I'd say go ahead and move on to that.
Demon Shaft is ok, as far as DC dungeons go, but it's literally a hundred freakin' floors, and nothing to work towards besides the sword Chronicle2, which (albeit it poweful) is basically pointless, since by then you'll have beaten literally everything in the game.

One time, CE triggered me so hard with their objectively wrong opinions that I accidentally punched myself in the balls.

I'd highly recommend it. It's been years since I last played it, but it basically improves on everything the first game did and fixes all the flaws.
