I like this more than NSMBU Deluxe honestly.

I didn't realize it had one. Is it like a full Mario game?

Not exactly. Basically you need to "work jobs" to earn money and build Peach a new castle. The jobs are levels created by the developers using the level creator. There's a little over 100 developer made levels in the story mode, each with a difficulty rating which determines the payout. You don't need to do them all to finish the castle, so you have some choice in terms of which you want to do.

I would describe most of these as mini levels which are based around one gimmick. In some ways a show case for basic level ideas to incorporate into your own levels. But they're pretty varied and short and sweet, and I'm usually curious to see the next level when I finish one. It looks like it took me like 4-5 hours to complete the castle, and now I'm just playing the remaining levels. It's not super long, but it's still nice. Idk if I would pick up the game just for the story though. It's just a good way to ease into the have I think. Almost an extended tutorial.

Yeah, I enjoyed it, at least as a way for Nintendo to show off and experiment with unconventional mechanics.
