you never had freedom, the US has been becoming further authoritarian in the name of safety your entire life, the common people have always been powerless, and there has been no movement whatsoever towards socialism, which is an economic model where the means of production are collectively owned.

They should probably up that to 75k. Or have it vary by region, if they're so worried.

Anyway I don't think this is gonna happen. If 40k was the cap then basically no one would get it in places like LA, and people would riot. This is just the Republican'ts throwing out an unrealistic number so that the Democrats have to meet somewhere closer to that.

I work full time putting myself at risk and some people that are unemployed right now make more than me. What irks me the most is it is an automatic $600 extra for unemployment. It should be up to $600 not to exceed your normal wages. People sitting on their asses do not deserve more money than those who have to work with the public, bonus points if the place you work doesn't require customers to wear a mask even if the workers do.

I would qualify for the second check if it is the $40,000 cutoff.

they go by what you made over the year you could theoretically make under lets say 38K normally but with 3k worth of overtime it would screw us over :(.

Whether these things were directed my way or not..

As a single father raising two kids with minimal help from their mother, I'd just like to note that my babysitting has run $180-250.. per week. Making an average of $66k over the last three years has afforded me a bit of wiggle room, BUT I have been lucky enough to avoid either medical or residential calamity.

$75k is great when you don't have any responsibilities, but it cannot simply be lauded as a great number without tying it to circumstances.

If business is good, usually 56-64. I've had a few 68s here and there and a lot of 40/48 this year. Mines more a mass of days though, between 2018-2019 I worked 654 days total
