The 15 seconds of fight animation are pretty good, but overall the series is bad with very weak character motivations and virtually no character development (only Kozue and Doyle develop at all, and even then they ruin Doyle)

GOKU has more character development!

Worst part? The series starts after the most important piece of development for Baki Hanma, and ends BEFORE the conclusion to his character arc on a CLIFFHANGER

That'd be like if Starwars was just Return of the Jedi, with a flashback to the spoiler from Empire Strikes Back, and then ends with Luke and Darth Vader meet up on the AT-AT/Command Post before going to the Death Star

I also got to finish Gurren Lagaannn (add more r's and a's and n's as needed)... I saw up to the defeat of Spiral King 2~3 years ago and the rest of the series was finally added.

And, well, frankly... ... ...... it's really good. Like, there's drama and action and characters develop and make mistakes, and learn from them and are RE-tested (something extremely rare when it comes to character development is to do the same situation a third time to make sure the development sticks) and the escalation is fantastic

stopped watching after season 1, some of it was cool but the plot was just fucking garbage
I CANT believe they let that last guy go like 20 times just for him to kill more people, its so trash

I enjoyed both of those, but I went into Baki expecting a 'popcorn flick' series.

Baki was fun the first part, okay the second part, trash filled with burning shit the third part.

They hyped up Ali jr. and he spent the whole second part trying to fuck bakis girl only to fail super hard. Then getting his ass whooped by the entire cast lol what a worthless character.
