The death of a black man whose body was found hanging Sunday, June 28 in Lewis Morris Park in Morris Township has prompted a response from the Morris County prosecutor after an online petition and other social media suggested the death was not a suicide, as had been determined.
The man was identified as Amanuel Amani Kildea, 20, of Long Valley.
Prosecutor Frederic Knapp updated a statement he had issued on July 1 that said, in part, "There is no cause to believe there is any criminality involved. The Morris County Medical Examiner has determined the manner of death as suicide."

In a new statement from Knapp, released Friday afternoon, July 3, the prosecutor said, Contrary to the statements made in social media and elsewhere, the investigation remains open and has not concluded. Our initial statement by this office was intended to preliminarily and expeditiously inform the public that we and multiple other law enforcement agencies... have been working with the Morris County Prosecutors Office Major Crimes Unit to investigate the circumstances of Mr. Kildeas death. As of this time, no evidence of a criminal act has yet been found, however, our efforts to determine what occurred remain very active.

We have followed and continue to follow all investigative leads and will go where the evidence takes us.

According to Morris County Park Police, officers responded to the Sugarloaf section of the park at 2:47 p.m. on June 28 after a park visitor called police and reported the body.

I was someone who said early on to not jump to conclusions, but this is happening far too often to be mere coincidences. Were these happening before the recent unrest? If not, something fucked up is going on. You don't just have black people hanging from trees out of the blue and not have something evil going down.

Are there cameras around all these trees? Idk it's suspect, but I guess an autopsy can probably determine if a hanging is suicide or homicide

I have a hard time believing that an autopsy couldnt prove foul play at all.

like if someone is trying to hang you are you not fighting back? Wouldnt there be abrasions?

if they drugged you it would show up in toxicology. If you were drunk it would show up in toxicology. If there was a struggle or other inflicted wounds they would be noted in the autopsy.

i have a hard time believing there is some conspiracy of random murders via hanging happening and they are all black kids.

I think we need to assume the autopsy reports are bulls*** in all these alleged suicide cases to say this is a conspiracy. I don't wanna make that claim. Or I'm missing something?

I dont think any city wants or even the country wants copy cat murders of black kids being lynched.

if there was foul play I cant imagine anyone allowing innocent kids being hung to just go away.

this isnt the first case either and Im curious to see what the reports found because I havent heard much from the other cases.
