Im not Italian or Sicilian but this movie makes me oddly nostalgic for my childhood. Makes me feel at home.

Weird, but not complaining.

Oh yeah Part 2 is queued up next. Never liked 3 so I skip it.

I'm one of the few people who didn't really like the Godfather movies. My problem is that I sometimes feel like I have a hard time following certain things in the plot. Like, something happens and I don't really understand why or how the characters knew that such and such was a traitor, etc.

Sometimes I paused the movie and googled stuff and found a summary from the novel that made things clearer. This made me feel that perhaps the problem is that the movies skipped too much stuff from the books which made them difficult to understand for someone who hasn't read it?

I would recommend reading the book
It's a good one, and it does add context and flesh out some characters... some of it rather strange admittedly.

I think I'd like the movie a lot more if it had included the vagina surgery story from the book
