Will we get another Avengers movie? I'd assume Winter Soldier and Falcon will lead the team if there is another movie.

Probably see mutants introduced into the MCU soon and Fantastic Four too.

I would love for the next big threat be either Galatcus or MODOK, I'd say Doctor Doom but is he really that big of a threat?

I don't really care about Falcon as Captain America, I'm assuming Winter Soldier will take over as Captain America soon. Dr Strange, Guardians and Black Panther sequels are guaranteeed. I'm not excited about the Eternals or the other new series but let's give them a chance.

I personally think the next "big bad" will be Annihilus. It's a galactic threat which will explain why space avengers care, and rather than being one super powerful guy it'll be more about fighting an army with allies from every planet.

What will they do with Doom? It'll just be a repeat of Thanos. "Evil guy with machiavellian plans gets mcguffin that makes him all powerful"? Again?

Doom is literally one of the top dogs in Marvel. But that might be harder to convey to the audience when we've already seen Thanos.

Doctor Doom might not be a universe level threat like Thanos is, and he doesn't just want to kill off everyone, either, but iirc, he's a super formidable villain

he's incredibly intelligent, has a mastery of both technology and magic, and is the well loved leader of a nation

But why would the guardians care? Why would strange care? Why would Thor?

Doom IMO would be better as the new Loki... a first movie threat that sticks around but ultimately just hypes up the actual big bad and inevitably sides with the heroes (temporarily).

Dr Doom knows how to use magic, and IIRC he was even Sorcerer Supreme at some point. There are things they can do with Doom that could give Strange a reason to get involved.

What I love most about Doom is how he gets into such crazy shit that he can be a threat to anybody at any given point in time. He's not like Loki, who lost once and then was just kind of a dick for a while. He's not like Thanos, who operated on such a scale that he could only show up, fuck shit up, and die. Doom loses and then he just shows up somewhere brand new with a reinvigorated desire for power.

I don't see how MODOK can even remotely be considered a "big threat".

Galactus seems like the most obvious choice for an "event movie". Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave are another.

They'll probably reboot xmen and it'll still be mediocre but will sell very well because of fanboys.

They will pump out another 10 years of mediocre movies because the fans pay for them.

I thought I had read rumors that the next avengers team up will face two threats: one on earth vs someone like Doom (facing people like Cap, Spidey, Ant Man, etc) and and another in space against a galactic threat like Galactus (facing people like Thor, Captian Marvel, Guardians, etc).

At this point, the comics should be gearing up for new stories. We need a (female?) Darkseid / Frieza / Satan to act as a successor to Thanos. The comics could've introduced one in 2016 and she'd be movie ready by next year. Instead, the comics dragged their feet with "not my president" Twitter writing and "Captain America is a Nazi" publicity grabs.

For now, they're gonna have to go smaller and focus on individual threats rather than big world-ending baddies. That, or unceremoniously kick Kevin Feige out and reboot. But they need to get busy on writing the Cell saga to their Frieza saga or the Rocky IV to their Rocky III.

Hell, maybe the movies can cheat and introduce an original foe not found in the comics.

I can already see how this saga will end. Galactus arrives, Doom is like "I got this, I'm gonna help".

Somehow Galactus gets disabled with Doom's help but now Doom double crosses everybody and uses that power for himself and becomes the main for a few minutes before he is defeated and Galactus leaves.

Doom once became a god over the entire multiverse. They could do that storyline

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 left off with the foreshadowing of Adam Warlock. Perhaps they will use him to some extent.
