When you take into account the precious votes, ratings, and donors, it is pretty obvious the whole system is catered to white supremacy, from policing to the FHA.

The sooner we all recognize it as a country and every last citizen admits the problem, we can actually have a real conversation across the board.

That's at LEAST the first step.

One thing I find so incredibly frustrating is how effectively the media and the pretense of tradition has sold the lie of otherization and divided people who are abused under the same class division from those they're driven to hate. Obviously, there are tons of other factors of socialization at play that are failing to create a populace that strives for betterment and at the end of the day each individual is solely responsible for their own values and how they choose to express them, but knowing how the ruling class manipulates society just makes me feel so saddened and angry.

I come from a very rural white family, and agree so much. It varies even within households in my family. Two brothers, raised a couple years apart who never left the family farm are completely different in their beliefs and treatment of other people.

I think the issue is that white people who aren't white supremacists but are tolerant of their actions are part of the problem.

And not all cops are murderers but if they're not vocal about the ones that are, they're also part of the problem.

Some groups as a whole have well documented beliefs. It's not a conclusive statement about each and every white American to talk about what White Americans as a whole believe. Would you dispute take issue with someone saying that Americans love the Constitution, even though there hundreds of millions of Americans, some of which don't care about the Constitution?

This is a strawman argument. White people as a whole have different views on race than others and it's not an attack on all white people to say that.

You don't seem to have any type of grasp on context. You posting 13-50 stats is not the same and does not use the same logic as saying that many white people, or white people as a group (not an individual level) underestimate racism and white supremacy in America. You cannot seem to acknowledge how language works or the arguments that I'm explicitly actually making, you have to shift the argument to hypothetical arguments you would make in response to something I am explicitly not saying.

One is a factual statement that is one of the core problems of American history. The other is same thing, both sidesing and furthering one of the central bigoted narratives in American history. They are not the same, no matter how you shift things.

Admitting that would mean that they would have to face the reality that racism never died in this country. Before Facebook and smartphones, it was a lot easier to ignore any racism and hide anything they didn't want themselves or their children to see. That's true for homosexuality, drugs, sexism and many other topics that could be considered negative or contradictory to their way of life. Now that gay people and minorities have a lot more presence in the media and everyone is spending more time online, they can't easily escape from the fact that they can't continue to run with the stereotypes and beliefs they put so much effort into pushing on themselves and their communities.
