Just unbelievable. It's fast paced, lot of dark humor, great characters, a ton of killing, violence, and a pretty unreal story unfolds for it being based on actual events. Kirsten Dunst was fantasticly insane. Hanzee had such a dark, scary persona about him, it reminded me of Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men. It was great all around, I want to watch it again from the start.

The damn flying saucer at the end, during the hotel shootout, I think that pretty much topped it off for me and was one of the most unexpected, what the fuck moments in a show. Then Peggy just writes it off as "Oh it's just a flying saucer" and pays it no mind killed me.

10/10 television.

What did you think of Hanzee becoming Mr. Tripoli (out of shape mob boss) from season 1? It seems far-fetched to me even with the mentioning of facial reconstructive surgery.

I didn't see it coming, not sure I necessarily liked it and for sure it was far fetched. I binged the last 6 episodes this afternoon so i'm still absorbing it all.

Gonna be honest, I just finished episode 2 of season 3 and nothing is drawing me in at all. It feels like a completely different show and tone from the first two. I'm gonna stick with it, but the first two seasons I was all in after the first episode.

it really is a great season.

I thought that there would be no way for season two to come close to season one's quality, and I was surprised to find that it was even better.

but none of the main villains have the same kinda presence as Malvo, IMO, even though I thought they did a really good job.

2 > 1 >>> 3

2 was one of the best seasons of anything, like you said. 3 was such a disappointment.

Looking forward to watching 4, some of it was filmed in my neighborhood.

Malvo isn't even the worst villain in his own season though. >_>

And season 2 is great if for only the fact it has three of the best characters in the entire series: Peggy, Hanzee, and Mike.

My head canon for this is Hanzee went to the facial reconstructive surgery place and found a front-man there to become Mr. Tripoli while Hanzee worked behind the scenes as the real leader.

Nope that's next on the list. I work in phases, i'll do nothing but game for a couple weeks on end, then i'll binge a few seasons of television series. I just got off a gaming phase, so started back on the TV a couple days ago.

You guys pretty much nailed it, first 5 episodes were a drag honestly, I was losing interest. Then 6 and 7 happened and got me interested as it sped up a bit, 8 was a tremendous leap forward and now it's pretty fantastic. Just started episode 9. Glad I stuck it out.
