I've been watching it since I finished another read of the manga, and after a few episodes I got used to the art style. Think it's pretty tight art honestly that captures the style of the manga better than even the 25 episode series.

I really liked it, so much so that it made me want to watch the original and even more so I'm considering reading the manga for it.

people give too much shit on berserk 2016. Animation may be low quality, but it was definitely entertaining to watch and follow. Now, the series is cancelled forever

Aside from the badass intro the animation was some of the worse I've ever seen. That and even if the CGI was decent it simply doeasnt work for certain series from a stylistic standpoint at all.

It's the directing that is completely abysmal. Berserk 2016 has some of the worst shots I have ever seen in any form of entertainment media. Berserk 2016 is FILLED with shit like this. That scene in post 2 and several others were updated to be smoother and less South Park-y in the bluray version that has been available streaming for years now. It is no longer a valid point against watching the show now.
However the low budget cg is still overall pretty terrible even after the corrections. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm watching the updated version on HBO Max. The last few episodes of season 1 are gorgeous. It's hella psychedelic too.
