So I went in with like no expectations. I was kind of underwhelmed by the first one.

I spent $2 to see it at a dollar theater.

And I actually enjoyed myself for the most part. I didn't like Harry all that much and I wish they had just focused on Electro but *shrugs*

On an objective level I can see why it's bad but I didn't really feel like I was robbed or let down.

What about the ending where they revealed that in the future of their failed and abandoned universe, villains have no personality and are just given a random suit from the evil people suit basement and a name to go with it?

It's a very bad film, but has some stiff competition in that category.
Catwoman, all the Fantastic 4 films, Spiderman 3, Daredevil, Thor 2, Avengers 2, half of the X-Men series, etc.

I don't count Catwoman. Of the rest, I haven't seen the new Fantastic 4 and only half of Spider-Man 3. Of the rest the only one I'd consider to be near as bad as Amazing Spidey 2 is Rise of the Silver Surfer. In fact, it's probably just about worse.

Agree to disagree, I guess. There's a few more that I'd say are the same level but whenever I slate them people accuse me of trolling, so I left them out.

It's better than the first one in terms of achieving so bad it's good status. Especially with the literal goblin disease, like all kinds of lol there.

I don't consider Catwoman a serious attempt at a superhero movie. It's the equivalence of an Adam Sandler movie, where some people are just dicking around and they vaguely used a known franchise to sell a studio on the idea.

I thought it was better than most people think it is. I love Andrew Garfield as Spider-man. He nails the attitude pretty well.

I thought Electro was cool, even if his villain motivation was pretty mediocre. I didn't much care for the suddenness of the Green Goblin situation, and even though it took balls to go through with it, I would have liked the movie more if they rewrote the story to let Gwen survive--it was such a bummer ending, even knowing from the comics that it was bound to happen since the first movie.

It's not quite as big of a bummer ending as The Mist, but it's kinda close.

The saddest thing about those movies is that they did the hero moments *really* good and we still dont get enough of those in our superhero movies.
