Made a topic a few days ago saying that had metacritic been around back then, it would have gotten review bombed to hell. People called me stupid and my mom offered half hearted reassurance. Anyway, the numbers don't lie and you can't just say Sony bought off every single critic in the world. At some point the hate train will lose steam given how hollow the criticism is and the piss babies will move on.
