It takes me hours just to clean my bedroom, and a layer of dust form about two minutes after I'm done. How does everyone else manage to keep their homes so clean?

I vacuum the entire house usually twice a week. Area rug like ever 3rd day. Swiffer mop once every 2 weeks. Dust the house once a week. Tv stand ever 3rd day. The weeks my kids go back to their mother that Fri I clean the entire house takes under 2 hours. After that it's touch ups here or there. It's not hard by staying up top of it like that. Bathroom gets cleaned usually twice a week. Tub like once a month. People are usually surprised at how nice it looks considering the kids are there.

I only do a big thorough clean like twice a year such as vacuuming under the couch or beds.

My tv stand is pretty notorious for dust build up. You might need a dehumidifier for your bedroom if it gets dusty really fast.

I wonder about this too. I figure either time just stands still when I'm not in those places, or they're ready-made houses in a Truman Show placed for my (and apparently your) benefit

Some people actually clean daily. If I didn't do anything for 2 weeks my house would look filthy and probably take longer to clean. It's really not that hard especially if you have music going in the background.

don't wear shoes inside and clean once or twice a week

Oh yeah...I forgot some prefer shoes inside...lmao...I take mine off at the door. My driveway is rock/sand and the hardwood floors would be like walking on salt if I wore shoes insides.
