I definitely think it will be or there will be some other kind of monthly payment once you retire. Look how many millions of morons there are who put absolutely zero away because they think they can live off just social security.

Taxes will have to go waayy up or the system greatly shaken up in order to be increased or even maintained. I do believe it will exist in some form just cause it has to as the same way as medicare, medicaid. But it is worrying that every year there's less money. I think it was last year or the year prior that for the first time ever more money was given than what entered into the SS system.

Right now SSI is largely a scam that Boomers are using as free money as they sit on jobs that should be open to younger people.
