It's a producer tactic that Madonna's team did once her popularity started to wane. Joanne was certainly better than Artpop and Born This Way. Chromatica feels like a step back after the maturity of Joanne. If you want a treat, watch her Netflix documentary that follows her leading up to her Superbowl performance and the production-release of Joanne.
