I think the first 3 are really fun, and the remastered trilogy games are generally good adaptations. Especially becomes it removed the "No death" requirement from gems that at least the first game had.

2, 3 and CTR are the good ones. 1 and Wrath of Cortex are ok too, if you liked the others and want some more.

And Crash Bash is frankly very underrated.

CTR is pretty fun but it plays way different from Mario Kart. So it'll feel like ass until you learn how you're supposed to race in this one, then it'll be fun.

You'll also get ass blasted playing online for a while before managing to get decent places lol.

If you play the remastered trilogy it may possibly be better to play them in reverse order, just because 3 can feel far too easy after you've completed 1 and 2.

I hear they fixed the wonky hitboxes and weird geometry since release, but I'm not sure

It feels pretty similar imo. Just know that hitboxes are HUGE in the first game.

Also 1 is in a pretty different style to 2 and 3. So if you don't like 1 (which is the hardest aside from some special special gems and relics), give 2 a shot.

I never played the others but it just looks like a poor 3d sonic knockoff on rails. Crash can... Go forward and jump? Hit some boxes?

Yeah, there's a couple of shots of it in there.

Looks like exactly what Crash 4 was always going to be. They added more gameplay modes in 2, and even more in 3. Of course they're going to have a lot of them in 4. And of course that's going to be what dominates the trailer.

My main gripe is Wrath of Cortex apparently never happened. If they wanna do away with all the others, I can't blame them, but WoC was not bad.

Then he'll try new moves like sliding in Crash 1 and be frustrated that it doesn't work.
