turns out you need to like, kinda sneak up to it, and then dive when youre practically on top of it and mash A like your life depends on it

i want to catch more isopods though because theyre cute and i want some as pets

You can also force it into a corner in the water and that makes it easy.

my nephew caught a giant isopod before me, so I went in to try and find one.
got a giant gigas clam instead, so that's pretty cool. but I never expected a clam to be so dang fast.

I got two pearls the night of the update, not knowing they were used for the mermaid DIYs, so I sold them. And now today, I got my first mermaid DIY. A dresser. I don't think I'll be trying to get everything for the set, since I usually don't anyway (although I deeply regret not hunting for more cherry blossom DIYs and petals).

Yeah it did turn out that my cats messed something up with the router and it was down. But seeing other people have issues after the update just made me wonder. But that makes the most sense.

Do we have any idea if these new diving creatures will be tradeable to CJ yet?

i dont remember who mentioned it here before but i am now also experiencing worryingly long loading times. i have a digital version and when timing it it takes like three minutes to load into the start screen, another two minutes to load into isabelles bullshit, and then its kind of random for how long it takes to load to my town. sometimes it takes forever, sometimes its pretty short. whats even more worrying is now it takes a really fucking long time to save the game. and this started happening like overnight.

the weird thing is that it still takes a really long time to load in with my alternate account, but saving goes by really fast. i dunno if its just cause i use my alternate for storage and dont actually have a lot of stuff on that profile but its definitely weird and worrisome

No new items as far as I'm aware. I've gotten repeats from last time so far. But I only did the tourney enough times to get the silver trophy this time, since the points stacked from last time.
