there was also an episode where an innocent person was killed at the scene he was on and the anniversary haunted him and he goes to the grave site every year and cried with his widow. Carl is the cop we need but don't deserve.

He shot a kid.

It was dark. He had a ray gun. It looked like the real thing.

Sure, he seems all friendly to us humans. But how would a Twinkie feel when he comes strolling through their aisle? Hes a genocidal monster.

The box comes with individual wrapped Twinkies. The ones he buys in Die Hard come in two per wrapper. Thats a lot less energy wasted on precious gorging time.

In my headcannon, Carl wanted Harriette to quit her job and concentrate on being a mother. But, Harriet loved being the last elevator operator in Chicago, so she refused. This resulted in a simmering resentment in Carl, as seeing his kids without a full time parent around the house brought back painfulll memories of his childhood, and the two started arguing more and more. Eventually they decided to get a divorce, and Harriette was awarded full custody of the children, as often is the case. Devastated by this turn of events, Carl decided to move out west to figure things out. He soon got a job with LAPD, and slowly he regained a sense of normalcy, until a tragic event at a downtown highrise on Christmas Eve. After that night at Nakatomi plaza, Carl once again had to reevaluate his life, and Harriett, faced with the prospect of loosing the only man she ever loved, and the father of her children, asked Carl to reconcile their relationship. Killing a man(even a terrorist) changes a man, and Carl craved the normalcy of a normal life with his wife and kids, so he moved back to Chicago, and got his old job back. Back home with his wife and children, Carl was happier than he's ever been, and every thing seemed perfect, 'till he noticed the new family next door, and in particular their Nerdy son Steve. Carl had no idea the chaos this skinny geek would soon bring to his families life.
