I have frequent dreams about being in a version of my home town that doesn't exist. The streets are wrong, some businesses are in different locations, and I used to live in a house that never existed.
Like, I usually am not in the same place from dream to dream, but within the dream I know where places are in relation to each other, and I know exactly the layout of my old house. However I've never dreamed of the outside of my house so I have no idea what it looks like outside, even though in the dream I know exactly where it is. There's a wholesome childhood story I've told on numerous occasions where one Christmas morning, i unwrapped a present which was a plastic mould of a castle filled with little figurines. The gift tag said it was from 'Julie, one of Santa's elves'.
I like the story 'cause it's cute and funny and why on Earth would an elf be called Julie?
