Will be some small, casual spoilers dropped in here. I'll mark anything big.

Started with Super Mario World. Seems like the game is progressing pretty fast so far. I've only played a few hours since yesterday and I'm closing in on Castle number 6.

So far, the game started off very easy(first and second boss were a joke), but things got harder around the 3rd castle(that boss was pretty hard), and the 5th castle was legit challenging(one where you have to ride a snake block the whole way through with no power ups or anything)

I've noticed the game relies a lot on puzzles for secret exits and such, which I'm not used to seeing in games like this. I've also noticed that I can't find ANY fake or hidden blocks in this game. It seems those were replaced in this incarnation by the red/green/blue blocks.

So far the game has been super fun. A little boring at the start, but after about halfway through, it starts to get fun and challenging with the level design. I'm kinda just cruising through without worrying too much about what I'm missing, but I'll probably go back and try to find some more hidden stuff.

I like how the ghost houses are all super short with like 1 puzzle to figure out in them. That's cool

I used SNES online Switch thing to replay Yoshi's Island for the first time in 20+ years, quite recently. Had a good time. Maybe I'll go back and try to 100% it.

I'm one of those pesky people who much prefers SMB3 to SMW (o no).

Is this the first time youve played Super Mario World? Thats my favorite game of all time. Its perfect. The amount of secrets is mind blowing too

I went back and played Super Metroid became the ROM I played 15 years ago glitched up at the final boss

Pretty good game, though Fusion and ZM are still better

I'm really itching for a DKC2 replay. I wish they would bring that back.

In theoroy I prefer SMB3 because it is more balanced, but when I actually play it, I don't seem to be having as much fun.

I intend to play SMW2 soon though. heard it's great

I have played it before but mostly as a child.

This is my first real 'replay' as an adult. So I get to judge the game for what it actually is.

Castle 6 was pretty tough(those battering ram obstacles that kill you all the way from super mario to dead in one hit were rough)

But Wendy was even easier than the guy in castle 3(they have the same boss fight with minor variations). Her pipes were all level with each other, and even though there were 2 fireballs instead of 1, there was more space and easier terrain to dodge them.

They added Wild Guns not long ago, been playing it on a real cartridge recently.
Pretty fun.

Beat SMW. The last couple of worlds had some tough levels. I beat the final boss in one try though.

Overall, it was a fun game. A little shorter than most people generally want a game(even a platformer) to be in the modern day, but good nonetheless. The first half was pretty easy then the second half ramped it up for some interesting gameplay and mechanics.

I did 50 exits, and I'll probably keep going to see how many more I can get.

i remember on my most recent playthrough feeling like the game ended abruptly, but maybe that's just me and also i should account for the era of release and the bonus content, idk

I'm at 84 exits right now. No walkthroughs, managed to make it to special world legit. Haven't beaten special world yet though.

Man, now I might have to start up a (spoilers just in case you don't want to know how many goals SMW has) 96* run tonight. One of my top few faves all-time.

Yeah I know about 96.

I'm honestly not sure if my SNES cartridge has 96 on it or not. I didn't do it, but my brother/sister might've.

Legit, didn't stockpile any power ups.

At 89 exits now.

Imam disappointed by the selection. My guess is developers didn't want to include games they are still selling so no Megaman, Street Fighter, or Castlevania. Probably also why no Square RPGs. Still I'm replaying Breath of Fire one of the first RPGs I ever beat.
