If all you do is talk about an issue, not donating or participating in a movement, I don't see how you can say you actually care. It's not like you're going to convince any bigoted hateful fellows on here to change their views (though if you did, that would definitely count as meaningful support. Not gonna happen, though). I guess we're just going by different definitions of what it means to care.

As far as I know, if u can afford it, u got it.
And alot of people dont even have health insurance to begin with, mostly they cant afford it.

You would be overthinking it. Yes, it could be simple selfishness for some, but the reality is a lot of people have too much going on in their own lives, so theyre not focused on other peoples problems. Theyre not going to hurt you and they wont stand in your way. But if youre expecting them to be your shield, you might want to consider why you felt entitled to expect that.

Keep in mind that I, personally, have stood up for tans persons on several occasions in my own community, but I understand if someone else doesnt feel obliged or safe enough to do the same.

The question is if they CARE.

and yes, this is the case because for cis people because, since their gender identity is synonymous with sex, the "sex" protection (and the law, as a result) covers both their sex and gender identity, but for trans people, the word sex is insufficient, and the law does not protect their gender identity in a similar manner.

That's from a 4 year old survey of the % who said they identified. I have to imagine the number is a lot higher considering most people who actually identify as trans probably aren't open about it.

ok triple it to about 2%. That's 98 percent who it does not affect directly, which is still the vast, vast majority of people.

most people are selfish and care about their own interest. for about 98% of people, this is a non-issue in terms of their own situation.

yeah, it's pretty ridiculous, especially because there is no real justifiable reason to repeal it, and he probably did it just because it was yet another thing that Obama did and ever since Trump's been in office he's been dead set on tearing down everything that Obama built.

a (legal) justification to repeal is that the word sex is not interchangeable with sexual orientation or gender identity, so they should not be interpreted as such as this is both not what the law says, and very likely not what those who wrote the law intended.

And if we get upset they act like words don't hurt anyone or normalize treating trans women as cis men, which in turn they somehow justify to mean having us ambushed by a large group is acceptable.
