not sure how you could view an infinite universe as somehow negating the possibility of an afterlife. If anything, that makes it more likely imo.

I've had too many out-of-body experiences (from meditation, not even drug use, but yes from drug use as well) to not believe in the existence of the soul.

because that means we are infinitely small and pointless?

Why isn't there a worm afterlife? Cause they're small and pointless

I used to. don't really think I do now. if there is one, I don't think it's anything like what most people expect. I don't believe any of the established religions are "The Truth" and if something exists it's probably not any of the popular beliefs.

You ceased to exist for billions of years before you were born and you think that's unreasonable after you die?

In an infinite universe, not only is there room for both, but some would argue there would have to be both in an infinite universe.

Being small and pointless is irrelevant in an infinite universe. As above, so Below. Every tiny atom is still a finite piece of the whole infinite being.

Now if you view the universe as a lifeless materialistic husk then yeah, kind of hard to believe in anything.

You know what its like before you were born? Thats what it is after you die. Honestly, its pretty amazing that its considered radical to think this.

And you don't know what it is. You could've been in a previous life. You could've been a cockroach for all you know

It's not radical to think it, it's just not a counter-argument against the concept of reincarnation

If you don't know or retain any connection to a previous life, is it really a previous life?

If your memory is wiped, then whoever you were before is functionally gone.
