Did you have a feeling Tony got whacked in that final scene?

Sopranos Creator, David Chase may haev accidentally revealed what happened to Tony Soprano played by the late, James Gandolfini in the series finale of the hit mob show, 13 years later that enraged fans when it cut to black in the final scene at the dinner table.

In a leaked interview, Chaes let's slip that appears to finally answer the fans questions on whether Tony Soprano got sniped or not

It ended in 2007 with the final dinner scene of the Sopranos family as the daughter was late coming in just before it cut to a black screen...fans were infuriated that there was no reveal to what happened to Tony and was left to the viewers to speculate forever on his fate.

The New Jersey mafia boss was in a turf war with a New York mafia and a possible hitman lies in wait for him at a restaurant..but before audiences see if this was Tony's last dance, the screen fades with Journey's Don't Stop Believing.

The rage among fans fro this wanted to know what ahppened and whether the mob boss got whacked

In an interview with Authors Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Seitz, they said "When you said there was anend point, you don't mean Tony at Holsten's, you just meant, i think i have 2 more years worth of stories left in me"

Chase immediately said "Yes, i think i had that death scene around years before the end. Tony was going ot get called to a meeting with Johnny Sack in Manhattan and he was going ot go back through Lincoln Tunnel for this meeting and it was going to go black there and you never saw him again as he was heading back, the theory being that something bad happens to him at the meeting. But we ddin't do that"

Zoller Seitz instantly said "You realize of course that you referred to that as a death scene"

Chase laughs and says "F*** you guys"

Chase then continues to leave Tony's fate up in the air for the rest of the interview but the freudian slip was already said and done as he tried to take it back by saying "The point was, he could have been whacked in the diner. We all could be whacked in a diner. That was the point of the scene"

Many conspiracies debated on what happened such as the family was left alone by the mob and lived their happy lives while another said ALL of them were killed.

Soprano lovers will soon see the prequel of the series set to air next year in March starring James' irl son Michael Gandolfini...

first, I binged this the first month of quarantine. good show.

secondly, people have known about this interview for a while

thirdly, he was definitely whacked. it hearkens back to a scene with bobby earlier in the season where he was talking about how death could come quickly with no sound, or something.
