Anyone that thinks they will actually continue working is crazy. Unless you have some type of calling career like doctor, lawyer, law enforcement, etc then no one is going to put up with working some shitty low paying job.

Think of how much bullshit you put up with at work now and how most people hate their job and their boss but they need the money so thats why they stay and don't mouth off. Now imagine you are worth more then the actual company you work at. How long do you think you would be willing to put up with your boss's shit knowing you could just buy the company and fire their ass?

productivity =/= job/work which is why i didn't use the either word =P

though i wouldn't go full blown hobby either since that probably wouldn't last forever.

Oh, my mistake, for some reason I thought you meant continuous productivity because of a job.

Definitely would keep working. Im not lazy and it also pains me to do nothing.

Wouldnt be working any full time crazy type of job, but if I wasnt using that lottery money to open a business then Id be delivering pizzas or something like that maybe 20-25 hours a week, low enough hours that it wouldnt bother me at all.

Powerball etc are all scams no one actually wins 94949292 dollars

Imagine a group as powerful as organized crime attaining a gazillion dollars and just handing it over to an every day citizen lmfao the idea alone is fucking hilarious. If you actually believe it is legit, unicorns, oceanfront property in Nebraska, tooth fairy, santa claus etc

Yes, but I'd be smart about it. With the lotto around here you have options, either X amount of dollars per week/2 weeks or 1 lump sum. I'd take the weekly/biweekly payments and continue to work for a while, since you get more out of it.

Then I would keep working until I have a nice safety net built up, and then slowly start to retire early. Only reason I wouldn't stop working as it would be an adjustment for me. I'm used to working 40/50 hour weeks.

With the money I'd get someone to build me a 5,000 square foot home with a pool, arcade, couple bowling lanes, and a cinema room. Also a nice kitchen with custom cabinetry and one of those hidden refrigerators that blend into the cabinets.

If it's a large payout, fuck no. Well, at least not any kind of regular job. I would probably become a session musician/audio engineer/festival photographer to have some income, but I'd be living off the profits from investments/interest.

I don't waste money on lotto though, maybe once every couple years, so even less likely than winning in the first place.

No. People are either imagining a two million dollar lottery or have an absolute passion project type of job if they say yes.

It depends on the amount. 1 million after taxes isn't that much. I still have 30+ years until retirement, and would still need to pay for housing and other things. 10 million and I would sort of work. Mainly buy some property and have a company to manage the rentals. Would be comfortable living without any extra income at 25 million.

Not where I currently work, no.

But maybe I'd start a small business or two. Buy some land.
