I would wait for a Persona 5 Royale price drop instead.

I mean yeah, even if there is an enhanced version out, $8 for this is undeniably a steal

Another question, sorry for the triple post

Time permitting, should I play Persona 3/4 before 5? I bought 3 FES on PS3 for dirt cheap, tried to start it

Would it be impossible to go backwards, once I played 5?

New character, and not to be forced to sleep is the main thing.

Persona 5 is a standalone story, so you're fine. Unless you care about graphics, going back to the older game afterward should be fine.

yes

it added many quality of life improvements. Including changing how guns work in the game, adding more free days (less annoying morgana), adds 2 additional confidents, and an entire semester to the game. You also get all the P5 'classic' dlc included (though none of it is really important and is either cosmetics or dlc persona that can let you put the game on ez mode).

Royal is better in every way and there is no reason to buy 5 now that royal is out.

Not IMPOSSIBLE, but Persona 5 added so many QoL changes that going back to Persona 3 and 4 (ESPECIALLY 3, dear GOD) is painful.

P3P is fine if you for some reason still have a psp/vita(it plays digital psp i think), but yes playing P3/FES without full party control is difficult.

I can't recall anything that would make P4 bad.

I think p4 did add letting you pick the skills you brought over in fusion so you didn't have to cancel and select again until you got the set you want. But if that was a P5 addition, then that would be an annoyance.

p5 was the first time i've entered the series, i liked it enough to start playing p4g and i had no problem adapting going "backwards"

I never played the other ones for more than 5 hours, but I got at least 60 into this one. Depends where your heads at. It's a LOT of dialogue.

Psrsona 5 royal has a lot of extra content and changes the original game enough for it to be a fresh experience so its definitely worth a replay

Having said that the original P5 was already a 10/10 game and for $8 its a steal
