After playing it and beating the actual final boss: agreed. The midsection is a slog, but I really enjoyed the last chapters and wresting the advanced classes from bosses as early as I could figure out how. I think part of it is just that pretty much all the characters stories lull in the middle and there is no inspiration at all in the dungeon design despite combat and boss encounters being quite interesting puzzles at times.
--- move all remaining groundhog mercenaries to the front lines. Have sheep troopers squadrons A and B flank the cows. They're using DC-17 hoof blasters. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It got boring after the first 3 hours, then like 50 hrs later, the extra class boss fights are fun, but there are only 4 battles and it gets exceedingly boring again.

It was ok. I never finished all 8 paths or fought the real final boss. It was a pretty neat idea that was just executed poorly.
The 8 stories definitely needed to be intertwined far more than the random conversations here and there. They also needed to adjust the XP for non active characters. It was a chore have your core party 10+ levels higher than other inactive characters youre only plugging in for story. Ultimately I dont regret playing it but Ill never finish it or even play it again. --- I have trouble concentrating because I have 80HD. ... Copied to Clipboard!
