Who would you vote for in this hypothetical election?

I wouldn't. Both are two of the most awful presidents ever. Reagan is at fault for a lot of wrong in this country.

Yeah, but he wasn't an narcissistic manbaby. I'd gamble on Reagan just because Trump can't be trusted with a potato gun.

i still find it perplexing and quite frankly disgusting that anyone voted for george w bush, let alone the majority

but here we are, in a state of political affairs where the iraq war and the modern police/surveillance state are downplayed for the political convenience of praising bush to own trump

with that said, reagan's gross expansion of the war on drugs in particular is a dealbreaker - both trump and reagan had clandestine activities overseas and poorly managed deadly epidemics, so i can't really condemn one more than the other along those lines

Reagan, easily. He fixed the economy and helped end the Cold War.

Only if you're using "fixed" as a synonym for "rigged."

Reagan is responsible for so many ills of modern society. This election would suck so badly.

I mean, it worked. Carter was terrible for the economy.

True. But what do you anticipate would happen if they could serve in each other's place and time?

Not sure how I would answer that question, I ended up voting for Reagan over Trump, because I can't even begin to stomach the thought of Trump's name being in history books.

It didn't work. Tax code changes from '82-'86 are the leading edge of the destruction of the middle class and upward mobility in the US.

Carter was a witness to a bad economy, much like Clinton was a witness to a good one. Neither did anything to precipitate the situation.
