I have been watching Messi the cougar and he seem friendly, heck Messi even lets his owner cut his nails with no problem and is indoors.

He doesn't seem dangerous at all, he seems to be smaller than some domestic dogs.

He's actually pretty tiny. He goes to dog parks and training seminars and he is around their size, just more stocky. A normal-sized cougar would be a lot bigger.

And Messi is seriously the chillest animal. They've had him interact with kids and he's just like "Yeah whatever".

I know a cat who was in the street that wouldn't hurt a fly, even when starving he wouldn't hunt. Once someone was feeding the birds bread, the cat went to the birds and tried to eat the bread but he didn't like it and spat it out and left. The cat was near the birds inches away, yet he didn't try to hunt.

I knew another cat who didn't hunt birds. Although both these cats were old, maybe that is why they didn't hunt.

Yeah normal cougars have longer legs and a bigger belly. He wouldn't be able to live in the wild at all, so this couple adopted him.

They also have a Sphinx cat and a cheetah. If you see him interact with the cheetah or dogs, you realize how small he actually is. When he's playing with his humans, it's kind of easy to think of him as this giant animal without another animal near him for comparison.
